Our instructor Vivi demonstrates improper and proper ways for a Chair Pose For the next several weeks we will breakdown yoga postures to improve your current practice and guide those who may not make it to studio practice. Imagine you are planning to rise up or lower down to a chair and with safety and body mechanics in mind. I have known many who required arms on a chair to do

Delve Into YOUR Past

Over 25 years ago, I drove 90 minutes to the hills of Virginia to receive a Past Life Regression session after searching the classified ads. I had read the true story, Many Lives, Many Masters by highly respected psychiatrist, Brian Weiss and was fascinated! He tells the story of his patient with many debilitating life issues that were healed through hypnosis after delving deep into her past. Without either of

Legend tells and told in many versions that Mikao Usui lived in Japan from 1868 to 1926 and was extremely instrumental in introducing the concept of Rei-Ki. He studied medicine, psychology and religion as he traveled to Europe and China, and possibly the US.  Usui experienced the ability to use our hands and intention as powerful healing tools after long and deep meditations. Honor the Masculine Yang Energy Forces

In May we honor our maternal mentors and caregivers with Mother’s Day. In June we recognize the positive, masculine influences in our lives. Find the Zen Zone

Distractions are inevitable. Whether good ones or not, there are times when we prefer to be focused. I admit, I am considered quite sensitive and can do better controlling my physical, mental, and emotional responses to all of these potential, unwelcome stimuli. If there’s a “squirrel”, I look. Honestly, some distractions agitate me and take away my attention when needed. I know better than to ever sit near a restaurant

Saluting a Full Flower Moon

I honestly never heard of a Flower Moon which brightened our night skies over the past few days. Native tribes of North America coined the phrase of which the Farmer’s Almanac adopted, as this moon phase signified a time of bloom and for planting. Others believe it is a time of fertility, growth and creation. Same thing I think. A yoga practice that opens up our Sacral (creativity) and Root (grounding)

Mother Earth’s Mothers

Mother Gaia, a mythical goddess through which all are made on earth. She gives us food and water, protects us with just the right resources. She grounds us with magnetic forces, sustains us with her air, plant medicines, and more. Yet, we disconnect from our ancestral mother with neglect and abuse. Sometimes she counteracts our actions with natural forces to nudge us back on track. I honor her today and commit to do

Courage and Compassion for Coping

This past week I experienced hearing sad situations for some of my close Fusion Family and Community. Whether a recent illness, loss of a loved one, a family pet, or a troubled romance. I have had my share of grief and reflect on how I got through it.  First, I recognized I had to go through the process and give myself permission to feel. From there I navigated how to get
