Sing & Chant Your Mantra
Red cardinals and Bluejays often visit me in nature, communicating as they “sing” our connection.
I am known to be less than a songbird to sing a song or chant a mantra. My voice is strong with ability to project what I need to say. But when it comes to singing or chanting, I would rather hide or lip sync, fearing others will hear me. I have missed out on the benefits and power to chant an OM or Shanti, Shanti, Shanti, the most popular Mantras, sacred sounds or syllables.
Mantras are a phrase or word with an associated intention, often used to prepare for meditation.
- OM or A-U-M Vibration and Primordial sound and frequency of our Universe
- Shanti Intention for Peace
A few years ago I let go of the stigma and participated in Kirtan, chanting mantras with music, and a chanting event without music. At first awkward, but closed my eyes and soon felt the good vibes calm my mind. I noticed the connection of the intention and focus the mantras helped manifest. I am less afraid of shattering glass or others' eardrums. Their voices encourage me to let go and enjoy. We connect.
Sing and chant like no one is listening, feel the power of the intention.
Shanti, Shanti, Shanti,
