Gina’s Important Message – Fusion Future

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose, under heaven, opening verse of hit song in 1965 by the popular band, the Byrds. Relating to ancient yoga philosophies, this reminds me of Dharma, our law and nature of things, and Aparigraha, the practice of acceptance without expected outcomes, to trust in the universe's plans for us.

I selected this verse as I have greatly struggled to find the best words for changes that will occur and are out of my control. I decided to be direct, yet honoring the lessons of yoga I have learned and shared with our Fusion community over the years. And keeping with blog tradition and style to interweave wisdom with knowledge.

Beginning with Satya, honest, kind communication. This blog has certainly been difficult for me, but necessary. So, I pull off the proverbial band aid.

First, please know my heart is in love with Fusion, our very special yoga and wellness community, as it has been for over 11 years. This was, and still is my Dharma, my life purpose where I practice holistic nursing and energy work, am a student, a teacher, a practitioner, a creator and leader in a field of which I have great passion. I practice Tapas, staying inspired and driven although several paths and decisions to stay afloat are often challenging. You likely experienced those times with us, the storms of life.

I remember the excitement before our opening March 2014, creating our website, choosing paint colors, flooring, decor, alterations, recruiting our first teachers, and much more for our future home. I just knew Fusion would be magical, authentic and special. Our space, our "sanctuary" for healing, instilling healthy habits, and meeting like-minded people and otherwise, a community. A place to release our worries in our safe place to have fun while finding peace, even enlightenment. We explored our potential Svadhyaya, self-study, we manifested together. Finding Santosha, contentment for what we have accomplished, together.

Here goes...Fusion's lease is ending soon and unfortunately, not renewable although I have tried. The leasing company chose another tenant, a national franchise who is willing to pay much higher fees with a much longer term. As a small local business offering quality services, I could not compete with their terms and remain viable. I have been diligently seeking an alternative location and have two options but no final commitments at this time. Perhaps one will be finalized soon, and if so, I will announce it with any details as able. For now, I have to plan for the potential relocation, temporary close for the remainder of summer, or our business model of services change which I have been considering (off site services at special venues and retreats.) Stay tuned.

As my wise son, Jesse has been consoling me and keeping perspective, "Fusion is more than the physical space". And when I felt helpless but not hopeless, he reminds me, "it's not the end of the world, new beginnings, write a book with all your personal blogs, do your retreats..." And then, Mom, "if you want to make anything happen, it will!" There is and always will be a ripple effect from all the good vibes we collectively manifested and generated for all to make this world a better place. Whatever the universe has in mind, it will be revealed in due time. Ishvara Pranidhana, surrender to divine wisdom and guidance.

When I told my Fusion Family with either personal phone calls or meetings, the support and love received was wonderful. So many asked how they could help, had empathy and understanding for the situation and said, "where you (Fusion) go, we'll go". What an honor. I am humbled. They love you too. Their passion for what they do is immense. So please practice ahimsa, compassion and non-harming by being patient, gentle and mindful with your thoughts and concerns in and out of our space to protect our harmony. And brahmacharya, preserve your energies for things that benefit you.

Our students and clients also need positivity, support and focus on ensuring our next few weeks at 10021 Estero Town Commons Place stay uplifting and peaceful for all. If someone has a concern, send them my way. Practice Asteya, non-stealing from others need and desire to experience their intentions, peace, and services at Fusion.

I will speak with each and every one of you as needed and/or respond to any emails you send my way. I will also post updates at Fusion and email details when they are available.

For now, I am not going anywhere! I am working on other Fusion avenues to give our community options, so stay tuned...my blogs, emails and social media will continue to share healthy, mindful tips, wisdom, potential local events, and destination retreats. I am open to ideas so please direct them to me, info@fusionyogawellness.com as I believe I have explored many options for several weeks, but you never know for sure.

Now the facts and how this affects you. The latest update is that we need to be out by July 31st. Therefore, the following will occur:

• Our last class will be mine on Wednesday July 30th at 9:30, an all-levels Fusion Fundamentals. The studio will be open that day for stopping by as I gather items to be stored.

• 5 and 10 class packages must be completed before July 30th.

• Monthly plans will not be available after June. AutoPays will not be renewed for July.

• Massage, Facial and Reiki appointments will continue to be available through July 30th. If appointments are scheduled beyond then you will be contacted and appointment canceled.

• Workshops and Events on schedule will continue through July 27th.

• Account balances (your credits) should be used towards any purchases including classes, services, events and the boutique and can be shared with others who may be in need. If you are out of the area for the duration, I will evaluate your account and consider options and be in touch.

• Emails and phone calls will be received and a response sent as quickly as possible.

• We will be contacting all clients with credits for classes, services, and account balances but feel free to email with questions which is easier than handling multiple calls.

Thank you for your ongoing support, love, encouragement and beautiful energies that have kept us going for so many years. We will see what the future holds for us.
