I am thrilled to announce Fusion Yoga & Wellness received the honorary 2025 Community Choice Award by the Naples News and Bonita Banner for our area businesses! The finalists and winners are highlighted in a special print section that's inserted in Sunday, September 7th Naples Daily News, and the September 10th Banner editions. The award category for Fusion was Sports & Fitness, Yoga/Pilates Studios.
I usually brush off any invitations for nominations to potentially win awards in any competition. I either think they are sales scams, or a way to make a winner over others who are making an effort also to serve others with their own unique offerings. This time was different.
Maybe I just wanted a morale lift after losing our lease, and my connection with all of you. And, to be in the midst of other business professionals to network and get inspired, maybe to help me determine our future. As much as I wanted to invite the whole Fusion team, I was limited. I decided my date would be my trusted supporter and advisor since Fusion's launch, my son, Jesse. We curiously just expected a fun evening at a glitzy sold out event.
We enjoyed meeting many at the large gathering in the Naples Grande Beach Resort ballroom. Many adorned the event in sparkly dresses or nice suits as we enjoyed dinner, talked about our special businesses, got excited as they announced nominations, and glowed just to be considered.
When I heard Miss Miami announce, "Fusion Yoga & Wellness". I elevated out of my seat, an enthusiastic Woohoo erupting from my table. I admit, I think it came from me. I felt like my feet never touched the ground as I fled to the stage, and may have been prancing as I retrieved our award. I was surprisingly elated like a child winning a prized ribbon at a Science Fair.
Why did I react so differently than my usual perspective on awards and contests? I contemplated this a lot. I suppose I felt rewarded that what I hoped for and envisioned was fulfilled. I named us Fusion, gathering a dream team with authentic teachers and practitioners, encouraging them to share their own signature voice, passion and talent. To share wisdom, knowledge and focused wellness oriented methods for all who were seeking. Filled with hope to all witness healing through focused determination and holistic practices, revealing powerful evidence we could transform into our healthiest lives.
So yes, I am grateful that we were recognized by real people that matter, our clients, who shared their voices and nominated us. And we won! Our small but mighty business with a special blend of gifted and passionate guides made a difference I believe.
My Fusion Family may not have been there physically, but every one of them was with me in appreciation. So, this is for all of us. Without them, we would not have been the special place to come 7 days a week for that little extra lift, growth, support and community, known as a Kula in yoga terms.
You may recall this Tree art with colorful leaves. I placed it at our entry area as a representation of our beautiful and unique variety of Fusion visitors and practitioners. It has been donated for its future admirer to now enjoy.
