She Was Right

She was right! Exactly 5 years ago today, I met with one of my first long-term private yoga students who wished to get healthier in mind and body. She knows who she is (respecting her privacy) I send a BIG shout out to say, "thank you". We formed a special bond during our 159 Private classes and 1 Reiki session.

I'm so glad I Listened Without Ego as she shared her marketing and retail expertise for me to improve as a business. She loved Fusion, and our special yoga dates together. Reciprocal lessons. A true believer in our mission wishing us not just to survive, but thrive, through tough business times.

Many days she entered or exited Fusion giving me her expertise on her way in or out. Eventually, I reluctantly gifted my beloved window planters and water fountain to make room for a better boutique. I purchased a white etagere in the boutique area and she donated her desk table, now our hallway display table that you pass on the way to the studio. I told her I was listening when I showed her the items. She softly smiled without an "I told you so". Last week we cleaned up our special events window displays instead of our "clothesline" of flyers. I think she would have liked the refreshing change.

She Was Right and my Listening Without Ego was the right response. Although I have much experience, sometimes you need fresh eyes to see more clearly. She gave me that insight from a place of love.

So put down the instant barriers, open your mind and listen to those that really love you and wish you well. Then evaluate possibilities and decide what's best. Let Go of Ego and you may see, She Was Right.
