Embracing Change with Cheers Not Fears

Rainbows of Light are all around us if we just keep our hearts and eyes open,

Natalie & Gina in Telluride at 12,000 feet

In my younger days I resisted change from anything away from my comfort zone. The unknown greatly intimidated me. Often resisting I made the inevitable more difficult. I missed out on the adventure laid out before me by the secrets of the universe, like a covert operation.

I resisted a lot. Like a move from my home, family and friends in Pennsylvania to attend college in Virginia. I eventually met my future husband, son and new southern living. Since then, much has changed in my life but each time I learned to adapt and be open to explore instead. Seasons change, weather changes. Embrace it! The universe is always conspiring for us. We often don't understand why.

Last week, I attended two events where both presenters used the same “… Life doesn’t happen to us, it happens for us”. Wow, good one Universe.

Years ago at Fusion, Katie Wolfe was my right hand at the helm, then Xayleen who is still very involved and our amazing teacher, and 5 1/2 years ago we met Natalie. All new yoga teachers with administrative experience and all still part of my life, we were blessed. When they moved on to other horizons, another entered, and again I learned to trust those secret universal operations and open up to new beginnings. I was grateful, with a great attitude (learned about that one last week!) for what I/we have, and what could be.

With a bittersweet message after yesterday's class with Natalie, I shared with our students her future adventure. A desire to be closer to family, attend nursing school while working in healthcare simultaneously, and returning to her roots in the Berkshires, Massachusetts. Natalie will be relocating December 16th after her last Saturday class. We need more nurses and with her smarts and compassion, look out healthcare! She notified me many weeks ago so we could prepare for a smooth and inevitable transition. Professional and classy decision. Covering her three classes and talents for Fusion coordinating and communicating was not an easy task. But together, we did it.

Jen and Kristen who you may already know will be sharing those Fusion duties with me and have been in cross training for weeks. They are excited and ready! I will temporarily cover Fusion Flow class on Tuesdays, and Joyce Sharp will be teaching Thursdays. Saturday is to be confirmed soon and will also be from our Fusion Family of experienced teachers.

So this week's theme is to Embrace Change with Cheers (for Natalie and those stepping up and in) and release any Tears or Fears. New possibilities, new adventures await Natalie, Fusion, and YOU!

With love and gratitude.
